The prevention of the one thing that a person can’t take back, his or her own life. How can we prevent suicide is just like saying, how can we make everyone’s life perfect. Because it’s going to be depression in the world, it’s going to be sadness in the world, it’s going to be loneliness in the world. The best thing we can do is look out for the people that are around us, sometimes we don’t see the signs sometimes we don’t see that people are incredibly depressed. Some people are really good at hiding, their really good at smiling in our faces and making us think that they’re just happy people. Realistically these people are in a bad place and they really need your help, they need some words of wisdom but you can only see the positive nature of that person. Look at the things that are going on their life and bring these issues up, don’t just assume that a person is credibly strong, and will get over things just like that.
Assume that this person needs a helping hand, try to be there for them and try to guide them in a direction that is positive, and help them out when things seem to be going to wrong in their life, yet they continue to smile. Most likely that person is only hiding his or her feelings simply to make you feel better, they don’t want anyone to be put in a negative space simply because they’re having problems, so they’ll pretend as if they’re not in negative space therefore sparing you in your feelings and keeping your mind stable. See a lot of people worry about others when they should worry about themselves, contrary to belief especially a good family member, especially a good friend, and especially a good spouse. Because of this there are issues that never get solved because they’re worried about everyone else’s issues. Therefore there put in a very negative space, in which there is no return because no one knows that they’re there in the first place. Because no one understands that your in a position of complete and utter stress, no one can lend the helping hand that you need. So now you feel alone in the world because no one is there for you because you cant come out to people and let them know how you feel, because you don’t want to make anyone feel bad, or you don’t want to burden anyone with your problems because you’re the person that people come to to handle and take care of their problems.
