Alcoholism and mental illness statistics

"Alcoholism and mental illness statistics"Alcoholism and mental illness statistics. 8.9 million people are treated for mental disorders and drug addiction every year, also 45.1 million people with mental disorders reported binge alcohol drinking that’s four our five drinks a day, that’s huge indication that alcoholism and mental illness are connected to one another and extremely relevant capacity. It’s very difficult to separate these two things from one another because alcohol is a natural depressant, a lot of people don’t understand when you drink alcohol it doesn’t relieve pain but it actually subliminally causes more pain, a lot of people with bipolar disorder realistically shouldn’t drink alcohol, it intensifies the disease making the person even more irrational. I’ve always tried to steer clear of excessive alcohol usage, simply because my father was an alcoholic, knowing this and seeing the effects it had on him I strive to make sure that I keep my mind pure and stay away from substance that cloud my judgment.
